Wine Painting - August 23

Paint with local wine, literally! We'll discuss the history of this ancient medium and a few basic painting techniques and color testing the wines before the step by step instructions begin. Witness the wine oxidizing on paper as it takes on new shades, transforming into living, breathing works of art, right before our eyes!

Each participant will receive two 8x11 sheets of watercolor paper with a templated design already printed in waterproof ink or experiment with a blank sheet. Use of all materials to create artwork are included.

Wine Painting Workshops by Danielle Renée are unlike any other experience in Santa Barbara. From the vibrant tones extracted straight from the wine bottle to the nuanced hues derived from fermented or evaporated wine, Danielle explores the complexities of wine painting with both finesse and simplicity.
